You always convince yourself that you are not rich enough to help those unfortunate children. I am not that rich nor do I have the time to help, you say? You have all the reasons in the world to avoid helping right? You have your own set of problems and you are also needy in life. Know what’s common among all your excuses not to help; selfishness.
Children in poverty are calling on your to help because you can help. You may be finding life difficult too but their level of suffering is worse. You are complaining because you do not get to eat at that expensive first class restaurant every day. Have you ever realized that there are children in poverty who would kill to eat your left overs? At least you get to sleep on bad sheets and not a cold hard road. These and a lot more reasons make you more than qualified to help these children in poverty.
What can you contribute for these children in poverty?
You have a lot of options when it comes to helping children in poverty. There are many sponsorship programs to join if you want to help in the provision of food, shelter, education and the like. You can also choose to go the path of donations in monetary donations or if you are not comfortable giving away money, you can donate in kind. If you have that big heart, you can even open your homes to adopt and help raise these kids. No matter how big and small your contribution is, it will truly be helpful.
